About our civil litigation practice

Civil litigation is a marathon, not a sprint. We prepare your case as thoroughly as we argue it — because preparation wins more cases than courtroom dramatics.

Civil disputes — whether over property, money, contracts, or rights — can drain years of your life and resources if not handled with precision. At AGD Law Associates, our civil litigation practice is built on meticulous case preparation, sharp legal argumentation, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients.

We represent clients at every stage of civil proceedings — from filing original suits and interlocutory applications to appeals before the Madras High Court. Our team has handled property suits, partition matters, contractual disputes, and complex injunction applications across Tamil Nadu, and we know how to navigate the civil courts effectively.

A civil suit seeks a legal remedy — money, injunction, declaration — for a private wrong. A criminal complaint involves the state prosecuting an offence. Many disputes (like cheque dishonour or property fraud) have both civil and criminal remedies.

In urgent cases, we can obtain an ex-parte interim injunction the same day or next day of filing, if the case demonstrates prima facie strength and urgency. This prevents the other party from acting until the court hears both sides.

Title documents, sale deeds, encumbrance certificates, tax receipts, patta/chitta documents, survey records, and possession evidence form the core. We conduct a full document audit before filing.

An attachment before judgment (Order 38 CPC) is a pre-decree remedy that freezes the defendant's property to prevent dissipation of assets before a decree is obtained against them.
